Join Our Team as a Disability Support Worker
As a Disability Support Worker, you will support people with disabilities to achieve their NDIS goals in a community-based setting. We are seeking dynamic and motivated Disability Support Workers with a passion for helping people. By joining our team, you will play a crucial role in making a positive impact on the lives of our participants.
What Skills And Experience Do I Need?
- Effective communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to achieve goals.
- Empathy, compassion, and respect for participants and teammates.
- Understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Competence in using person-centered approaches.
- Familiarity with NDIS Standards and regulations.
Essential Criteria for a Support Worker
- Willingness to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. No overnights unless providing respite care.
- A valid check to ensure the safety and well-being of participants.
- Valid Driver’s License and Comprehensive Insurance
- A valid first aid certification within the last three years to provide emergency care if needed.
- Working with Children Check
- Completion of the module to understand the framework and expectations of NDIS services.
